@frightwigwam @brittanyanne08_ Without Speier it is. If Hancock could get through the sixth which his pitch count at the time suggested he could, you wouldn’t need the low level guy at all! We did wind up needing a low level guy and the game became out of reach. Worth the risk. He’d been good all year.

Sometimes I just gawk at old baseball stats and marvel that people think the game has never changed. I'm sure there's a billion examples you could come up with, but right now I'm at "In 1913, Walter Johnson had a 1.14 ERA in 346 IP .. and also a 6.3 K/9."

@509supplyguy It’s never worked and never will. Guys need their timing. Would help Luke Dom and Cole like you mentioned. Shortside splits will never be enough of a sample to be conclusive and carry over.

@SadBatter Still, it worked and will work. It works a lot more than most anti platoon people are willing to admit. Worked a lot last year. Full disclosure, I think it’s over used. Canzone is developing against LHP and I’d like to see Luke get more opps. Coles AB’s are looking better too
