The provider is still credited, they reuse samples but she was paid to record them, you still need to adjust all the parameters. That does change the fact she's a genAI based technology

@kmutusmu_08 @WallyWestEnd @mehrakulous but when gen ai is the SOLE major provider of information, art, and statistics in the modern day, so much so that most of our rural communities are being invaded by data centers(esp in the midwest), you cant help but see how out of control ai is now.

My stepdad is a pro-gen ai guy and he talks about how when used in conjunction with other forms of technology AND limited in use, its functional, and i agree on that.

@WallyWestEnd @mehrakulous You're talking about STD voicebanks. AI voicebanks are around since 2020 or so. That's why I put specifically Teto sv and Miku V6 as examples. Does this AI in the name of Synthesizer V not tell you anything? Google how AI voicesynths work lmao, yes they are trained😭

@kmutusmu_08 @mehrakulous miku isnt ai, miku is a digitally altered sample of a japanese woman's voice, needing to be hand-tuned by the user of the synth, making it the very opposite of what gen ai does, which is create and tune things for others. there probs is an ai synth, miku is not, shes just a synth

@mehrakulous You could also educate yourself and stop calling all gen AI evil cause it's more complicated than that. Cause it's not like you can't train it on consensual data and use just your PC to generate. Not llm but these two's voices are totally gen AI, yknow.
