A disturbing case of road rage and violence has been reported after a roadways bus travelling from Tanakpur to Haridwar was allegedly attacked on the highway between Gadarpur and Kelakhera, near the sugar mill area. According to reports, the incident began after an argument over overtaking. Soon after, some youths on motorcycles allegedly chased the moving bus, pelted stones at it and smashed its windows with sticks. The attack caused panic among passengers, and the bus driver was also injured in the incident. The driver managed to take the bus safely to Doraha police outpost in Bajpur, where police were informed. Police have now registered a case against unknown persons and have started an investigation based on CCTV footage and videos recorded by passengers. Some youths have reportedly also been taken into custody for questioning. Another reminder of how quickly reckless aggression on the road can put dozens of lives at risk.
