Bear’s actions may have been evil, but Ian doesn’t get nearly enough blame. Bear’s obsession didn’t come out of nowhere. He was grieving his grandmother, then later lost his cat, and Nikki’s kindness became something his traumatized mind latched onto. Before everything fell apart, he was simply planning to confess his feelings. Nikki could’ve rejected him gently, or maybe they could’ve dated and let those feelings develop naturally. Ian, however, kept sabotaging every chance they had. He mocked Bear’s confession, encouraged him to call her “Freaky Nikki,” interrupted their time together, and constantly inserted himself into their relationship, all while secretly sleeping with Nikki himself. Even after they started dating, Ian kept manipulating Bear and trying to drive a wedge between them. Bear may have pulled the trigger in the end, but Ian spent the entire movie loading the gun. #obsession

I always thought it was Criston Cole because of the scene where Rhaenyra doesn’t drink the abortion tea (or whatever it is) but I’ve seen some people call Jace a Strong boy so I guess I’m a little confused about who his bio dad actually is.

Her biggest mistake was not calculating how power hungry people can be. She should have always kept the seeds in line. Daemon with Hugh. Jace/Addam with Ulf. If not her precious Jace then baela with Addam and Ulf

So in the end… isn’t GOT basically the same story as HOTD? A rightful female heir denied power because she’s a woman. Daenerys had the blood, the dragons, the claim… but was never truly accepted. Rhaenyra was literally named heir… and still had to fight a war just to sit on her own throne. Meanwhile Jon Snow.. like Aegon… is the “acceptable” alternative simply because he’s male. Different characters. Same system. Westeros never really changed.

Upon rewatching Obsession, I found the film far more tragic. The real horror is that the real Nikki is enslaved against her will, but I don’t think enough people talk about Wish Nikki. She genuinely loves Bear because the wish made those feelings real, yet she’s doomed to fail because she can never be the person he truly wants the real Nikki. That’s why the line, “I can’t be Nikki,” absolutely broke me. She knows she’ll never be enough, no matter how hard she tries. #Obsession
