Some people criticize new immigrants with nativist and racist arguments. But this woman proves these families come here to work and fight for a better future for their families. Govt is failing them & all.

Saw a young woman and a very small baby with dirty clothes and timid eyes on the subway selling chocolates & gums. She told me she came from Ecuador TWO DAYS before. Was 21 & her baby, 1-year-old, and was already working & selling in the subway. Didn’t have a phone or even a pen
