@SaveVCFAnaheim And as far as regular people, he abandoned them when they can’t help him rise up the ladder of whatever he is seeking. My wife and I are one example. Being close friends for over 15 years one day all communication was just cut off and it never resumed.

Narcissists/psychopaths have a deep understanding of their victim’s vulnerabilities. They actively provoke their victims in front of others to make them appear mentally unstable. The victims are healthy, able human beings being abused. The triggering is the tip of the iceberg.

Churches today rise or fall on the teaching or evangelistic gifts of a single pastor. Please pray that Allan Scott repents for the injury and damage he is inflicted on thousands. Pray that his remaining followers realize the countless scriptures about what false profits and hypocrites do and say. Pray that justice is served. #SaveVCFAnaheim #AlanScottPastor

Important context: A woman, Sarah, came forward yesterday with her story of a Bethel leader sexually abusing her. Her account of saying no and freezing is devastating, and a very common survival response to sexual assault. Leaders framed it as an affair and rallied around the perpetrator to support and restore him. For years they have profited off of his narrative via books and podcasts. Please honor Sarah by taking the time to listen. She is incredibly brave. She is my hero ♥️ x.com/blaiseforet/st…

The silence about wrongdoing in our religious institutions can be rationalized and affirmed as a desire to protect the name of God. Such harmful rhetoric from leadership fosters interior silence in the victims and in the followers.
