THE VIP FILES Part 2 of #TheVIPFiles 🔎📂🗄️ Working with @GoodLawProject 🔹In 2020, Tory peer Lord Chadlington referred a company SG Recruitment, with no PPE experience, to the VIP lane. 🔹He sent his referral to Lord Feldman, another Tory peer. 🔹Chadlington was a director and shareholder of SG Recruitment's parent company Sumner Group Holdings, based offshore in Jersey. 🔹SG Recruitment was then, through the VIP Lane, handed contracts worth £50 MILLION. 🔹The average price for a PPE gown across all contracts was £5.87, SG Recruitment gowns cost NEARLY TWICE AS MUCH at a whopping £11.87. 🔹On top of that, more than half of the PPE the company supplied was useless. 🔹The Dept of Health and Social care is now engaged in “ongoing commercially confidential discussions” with SG Recruitment. 🔹But the parent company has been wound up, making it unlikely that any of this wasted money will be recovered. @goodlawproject and I are presenting more of these "deals" in THE VIP FILES. @carolvorders @darrenpjones I remember at the time a man who'd had a company for decades, producing high quality PPE, ringing LBC to say that his Co had failed to get the contract to make PPE for NHS & that some Co who'd never produced PPE had got the contract - he said his Co would go out of business!!

Michelle Mone on #bbclaurak I remember a year ago when I spoke to some journos about why they weren't printing material about her, and they told me they'd received threatening letters from her lawyers. I decided to start tweeting about it anyway, and I'm glad I did. They've lied for years, and now that DHSC is suing PPE Medpro for £122 million for unusable gowns, they've no choice because they're finally exposed. It's only about the money & always about the money. They profiteered while front line NHS staff suffered and people died alone. Note 1. Doug Barrowman is also on unrelated charges of fraud in Spain. Note 2. The UK National Crime Agency raided their homes and offices and they are under criminal investigation.
