BREAKING: Barrister Marshal Responds to $70,000 Saga
Barrister Marshal has dismissed Tracy Ohiri’s allegations as false, stating he was among those who mobilized activists and legal support that helped secure her bail and prevent imprisonment.
He explained that during the dispute with Senator Umahi, Ohiri was advised to either pursue legal action or consider settlement, but lacked concrete evidence of any contract or transaction with the minister.
Following failed mediation efforts led by Senator Ireti Kingibe, Ohiri later opted for peace. Marshal claims Barrister Joseph Ekumankama provided $70,000 not as compensation or admission of debt, but to resolve the matter, which he delivered without taking any personal gain.
He further alleged that Ohiri later demanded ₦300 million and threatened to tarnish his reputation when her demands weren’t met. Marshal described her claims as baseless and says he is considering legal action.

I opened my 16 year old cousin’s bag looking for a charger and ended up staring at a whole setup, cigarettes, my lighter, condoms, all lined up like it’s just part of his daily routine. I know exactly how this sounds, but I’m not about to play unpaid babysitter or pretend I’m some role model overnight. If he wants to copy my bad habits, then he can deal with the consequences and if I’m getting paid to stay quiet in the meantime, I’m not turning that down.
