@SinBinVegas Feels like a double edged sword. If VGK wins the division it means they played good enough to earn the points down the stretch, but have to play the WC1 team who is arguably harder. Or the play ANA or EDM RD1 which may be easier but means they couldn’t clinch enough points…

This under performing team is the construction of the roster, always seeking the “best” player available rather than the right one, and now the coach gets the fall. I fear for the future of this team, despite the superstar players Vegas has. Eichel and Stone alone are not enough

… that was the cog to winning a cup. To trading for another player that first not fit the scheme or team in Andersson, to trading a plethora of assets for aging 4th liners on above-average contracts, to now the worst one: firing Cassidy. Decision after decision has lead to this

Absolute shock. I don’t understand this at all. Bruce Cassidy won a Stanley Cup in 2023, he gets delivered a horribly constructed (but talented) roster that doesn’t not fit his cup winning style. With 8 games to go gets replaced by a coach who is a perennial underachiever. Wow
