To articulate what I have discovered about Cyberstan and Liberation as a whole in Helldivers 2, and how stupid it is.
This is the exact moment we lost taking Cyberstan, if we had any at all.
When player numbers spiked, the effects of everyone's missions were diminished to or near 0 by the impact modifier, unless they were completing an operation. This meant the more people we had in the room, the less likely we were to actually take Cyberstan. People were spending hours on missions that did nothing unknowingly dragging down everyone else in the process.
I'm calling bullshit on this entire event and you should too.
The effort to take Cyberstan was expended, but the counter-intuitive mechanics the game functions on waved it's hand and said "it didn't count."
