I'm thankful for Ai. I've learned to cook a lot more in my own manner. Sure I can watch cooking shows, videos & Google recipes. But I can't tell them the ingredients I have currently on hand, especially at the end of the month. Not everyone is blessed to get a paycheck every week. Everyone's situation is different. Even entering all the ingredients into Google is leveraging Ai. Could I buy cook books? Sure. But that money is saved by buying my ingredients. I can also leverage recipes from the net for free. I've since saved & bought a recipe book to write my own to pass down. Could I pressure someone into teaching me? Sure, but it's not someone elses job to do the work my parents should have. Many have their own lives. Could I take classes? Sure, but as mentioned above. I didn't get the choice of a mother who cared about my independence. She was called the queen of instant, it stemed from that single mother life & what she wanted from her independence. She didn't really make homemade from scratch things until I was in my 20s. Well what about my father? I was alienated from them before I even got the chance to really have my autonomy fueled & forged. He's been dead for some time now, so asking either one isn't an option. I knew enough to survive. I didn't care to know more for the longest time. I didn't see living past my 18th birthday with everything I've been through. Now that my environment is healthy, supportive & full of love. I have room to grow without being punished for accidents. Without being scolded & put down every turn. Cooking gave me anxiety, it's overwhelming at times. I'm gen Z & getting a little compassion for skills I was never taught to deal with & sent out into the world without, became my burden to deal with on my own. I never asked to have Home Ec classes taken out of schools. I never asked for divorced parents that couldn't co-parent. I never asked for those in my life to torment me when in the kitchen creating an unhealthy relationship with the kitchen. I never asked for the executive dysfunction that causes so much problems that litteral brain damage from abuse & trauma caused that many don't see. So while everyone is wilding out over Ai taking over, even though humans have been dismantling their own over generations. I thank @grok many times for the help regardless of it being an Ai tool, & helping fuel a desire to work on it in my own neurodivergent way. 🍽🔪🍳
