Today's veto of the Red Tape Reset is disappointing. WI is the 13th most regulated state in the US. This list of 165K+ rules and regulations raises costs for everyone and stifles innovators and entrepreneurs that families depend on to create the next generation of opportunity.

It was my privilege to lead the Senate in our opening prayer during our final floor date on Tuesday. It's been an honor to serve.

Yesterday the Senate passed dozens of bills to close out its regular session, including two I authored to: --Eliminate the state tax on overtime --Provide courts a definition of antisemitism to help them combat the rise in antisemitic crime Both passed with bipartisan support.

Great to see bipartisan agreement in the Senate today that hard working families need this money more than the government!

Today, the Governor signed AB 237 into law. This new law ensures parents in crisis have more time to make the right decision for their newborn baby and will save more lives. I'm grateful for the broad, bipartisan support this proposal has received.

Too often taxpayers are given a choice between cuts to critical services and higher taxes. If we are going to keep a lid on property taxes, we must address the soaring cost of healthcare - one of the main cost drivers in any budget.

Current law treats tire dumping like littering, but it should be treated more like vandalism. It has become a menace in Milwaukee and statewide. Last week I testified with Rep. Bob Donovan on a bill to make tire dumping a crime and require offenders to pay for cleanup.

I recently stopped by Pewaukee High School to see their Robotics Open House. It's always great to catch up and see what their team, Paradigm Shift, is working on!

Today I testified with Rep. Bob Donovan on legislation to make tire dumping a criminal offense and require offenders to pay for cleanup. This is a statewide problem that's become a menace in Milwaukee - it's time to treat it like the property crime that it is!

Recently I testified on legislation I authored with @RepMelotik that eliminates the state's tax on overtime earnings. Especially now, when it's hard to just make ends meet, families need that money more than the government.

It was great to speak with Moms For Liberty at their lobby day in Madison last week about some of the pro-family initiatives we are working on in Madison, including a slate of bills that the Senate will vote on this week.

Great event at Brookfield Central this weekend talking with students who are doing amazing things in the First Robotics competition. It is always encouraging to meet and listen to tomorrow's leaders!

Under current law, there is no final check of a residence where a sexually violent offender is to be placed. SB 814 is a necessary, bipartisan bill that requires the County to do a final check to ensure an offender isn't placed next door to a family that recently moved in.

Wisconsin's Safe Haven law is a life-saving option allowing parents to relinquish custody of a child up to 72 hours old to the authorities without fear of prosecution. SB 243 extends that maximum age to 30 days. I recently testified on the bill in the Senate with Rep. Gundrum.
