If Republicans put a bill uo simply requiring photo ID to vote with a clear system to make sure recently married women are not excluded, then it would pass with bipartisan support. Yet this is not what they are proposing.

I voted 2 days ago in Virginia. I showed a student ID to vote. Under the SAVE Act, the polling location would have rejected that ID and turned me away. The SAVE Act is not a voter ID bill. It is a proof of citizenship bill.
