I Spent the afternoon cutting and fitting the lead strips to the bottom of my window panel. Possibly the most fiddly thing I’ve ever tried to do. After two and a half hours my mind started to wander off so it did. Possibly due to banging my head accidentally on something earlier

@SimoninSuffolk That’s ok- if the local council is a good council. I know that in Norfolk there are some very poor local councils who are failing to deliver in some key areas. This needs to be followed up by some major changes at local level.

Norfolk also had the prospect of a countywide unitary authority hanging over it, but has also been reprieved. Local councils for local people, just as they should be. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Good news for Ipswich! The threat of a whole of Suffolk unitary authority was hanging over us, but after 50 years of being ignored by the County Council its being abolished. Bury St Edmunds also gets back its old West Suffolk pridelands. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Before and after photos of my tropical garden project. Quite chuffed with how it's coming along. I made the water feature from a pot I bought for $30 at TK Maxx and bought the bamboo spout from Amazon. Solar powered pump with a battery so no external power supply required.

@rowinggeek It’s a mystery how these powerful and important people -presumably with a high level of intelligence? - let this happen to them? Maybe they’re not bright enough to be in those positions in the first place? Or maybe they just think we’re stupid?

I am staggered by the number of people in positions of power who have their phones stolen or completely ‘wiped’. It’s a mystery how these things happen…

To celebrate our wedding anniversary, Hubby and I dined out at the Sainsbury Centre on a fabulously warm day. The buildings have mellowed over the years and now look quite stunning against their backdrop of blue skies and trees. Hoping your day is as fine. #UEA #Love Norfolk

@fenlandflo We’ve removed pews at the back. This gives us some vital social space to hold events that raise funds to keep the church open. Sadly, without this, we’d be closed in a couple of years. These historic buildings are lovely to look at- but the funding model is completely broken.

I had a stroll round the local church on the way home. We still have pews rather than the ghastly chairs that seem so in vogue these days. We have some beautiful churches, and its use them or lose them time.
