I love unhinged pet names bestowed by children. my parents got us a pair of kittens when I was a toddler and only knew a handful of words so then we had a cat named Box for almost 20 years

@missmulrooney Haha, 3rd Labour and medical student asked partner on opposite side of bed how it felt for him. I might have told him he may want to move back in case I accidentally moved my arm in a forceful way in his direction. Partner and midwife thought this hilarious.

Thinking about when I got to the hospital to give birth and the doctor asked when the contractions started and I said "11:48" and he laughed and said "Wow, so specific. 11:48 and how many seconds?" and I'm just saying that man is lucky to be alive.

This is appalling ... how is this democracy if @DanielZeichner will not actually respond to the residents questions?

Luckily I’m not hugely phased by this stuff having delivered 3 babies, but I couldn’t help but think if it was one of my daughter’s this would have been a very unpleasant experience #womenshealthmatters

Got to hospital appointment, no mention of painkillers, no mention of local anaesthetic, no check in advance if a male consultant was acceptable to me (in face there was no female consultant there at all). After 40 mins and various instruments the job was done🧵

As it’s #womenshealthmonth here’s my recent experience. I will leave out all the in betweens. I had a coil in place that needed removing, no mention of painkillers at all before or during appointment with nurse at GP surgery, she pulled the thread and nothing was attached🧵
