Will be back feeding the bees tomorrow. Only 20 lbs of sugar this week. It seems about half of the hives have stopped taking.

The largest beekeeper in the world is Adee Honey Farm in North Dakota. They have more than 80,000 hives. That's 4.8 trillion bees.

Bees Update 2: This week brings preparations for Greensgrow's harvest. Ready thyselves for some Honey from the Hood!

Bee Update: Roof hives are well. Will merge from 9 down to 6 or 7. Will need feeding to build for winter. Windbreak build to come.

Bee Fact: Honey bees have been documented maintaining hives in lava fields where temperatures were over 154 deg Fahrenheit

Bee Pondering: The healthiest hives I know of right now live in the oldest equipment, are allowed to swarm and are not medicated. Hrrm...
