Gentle Reminder: Spiritual gathering to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Ji at Sikh Society, Calgary from 3:00 - 7:30 PM. 1. Seminars by eminent scholars - The theme for this year's seminars is Exploring the Concept of Multiculturalism and Anti-racism in Sikhi.

Thank you, Parm Singh for helping us display paintings that highlight pious Sikh heritage sites like Sri Harmandar Sahib and the lives and struggles of Sikh Gurus who inspired generations. We wholeheartedly thank all our volunteers who worked on the ground and in the langar hall.

Thanks to various education, finance, and welfare organisations for educating people about their programs - Sikh Studies Program from the University of Calgary, ICIC, WFG, PCHS, Blood donations, NAM. @sikhstudiesyyc @CanadasLifeline @CTACanada @PCHSCalgary

Gratitude post 3: Thank you, Calgary police services, Canadian Armed Forces and The Military Mueseums for letting people know more about their programs. Both kids and adults enjoyed interacting and learning from them.

Thanks to @REDFMCALGARY for setting up a booth and engaging people to enlighten them with the life and teachings of Guru Arjan Dev ji.

Turban tying, face and t-shirt painting engaged everyone regardless of the age group. We tried to make it meaningful and aligned it with the theme of our program.

Thanks to all speakers for joining us to commemorate Guru Arjan Dev ji's Shaheedi. Sikh Society, Calgary envisioned this year's theme as "Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism in Sikh Sculptures." This program was held on June 10, 2023 at Sikh Society, Calgary Gurudwara.

In her talk, she also highlighted the importance of Maa-Boli (mother tongue) by citing different examples.

To accomplish this, we invited eminent speakers from various institutions to discuss their work and ideas of multiculturalism and anti-racism connecting history and the present with the Sangat.

He was invited as a guest speaker on local radio channels like RED FM and 94.7 FM Calgary to discuss various aspects of Sikh philosophy and history.

About speaker - He did his PhD in MA in Mysticism of Bhagat Bani. He worked as a Professor and Principal in different Colleges in Punjab, India. Since June 17, 2015, he is working as a Head Priest at Sikh Society of Calgary @sikhsocietycalgary.
