🚨 Mobile Sims spin-off game in development "The Sims Town Stories" has been canceled, as revealed by former designer Franci Dimitrovska

It was about time we got some (hopefully successful) fixes to Sim autonomy. However part of this stuff is especially annoying when done by NPCs, so the fact that the cooldown only applies to the active household kills the purpose in many cases.

@jackofallgames7 And to say that one thing TS4 had over the past games was its smaller packs were by far more convenient. It really went to show how huge of a profit margin EA has, they could deliver an EP as big as AA any time and still roll in dough

This set by Symboulette looks gorgeous - then you realise it’s going to cost $4+ for around 10 items 🥹 While Kits gave us 20 - 30+ items and allowed you to build better or new types of spaces (some even had new functionality) None of the Marketplace stuff so far seems to fill any gaps like Kits did.

please do not let this be the thing that gets you to spend money again if you’re boycotting EA due to the buyout do not do it just to see how it works. creators will still continue to make their own work on their own platforms where you can still pay and they get a better split

LOL to the people who claimed that "telling your spouse about your own secret about cheating does nothing in game" Literally as soon as my Sim confessed: - Ernest had a self-discovery and became jealous - he threw juice at her face - it told me he's thinking of divorcing her

The fact that telling your secret child or your spouse the truth doesn't come with any specific reaction buff or sentiment, nor does it even trigger jealousy is unexplicable to me... #InCollaborazioneConEA

@SimsWorld_IT Having a secret lover, woohooing in public, and defacing the Bellacorde monument are other scandals. Anyway, thanks for showing other potential scandals through crossplay.

@Chofis_Ok Minor, medium and major scandals last up to 5, 9 and 14 days respectively (there are some exceptions like the info broker one lasting 66 days) I had a bug where a scandal timed out after a couple days. The build I used was not final software though, so that may be fixed now

@SimsWorld_IT I hope there came to be a mod in which the scandals don't disappear in days, it would be interesting if some scandals last longer, I don't like to see that some, even the ones that could be worse scandals, only have a duration of 8 days at most.

If social services take away your child and you get exposed for that, you won't be able to adopt until the scandal's over ("Call adoption agency" option will be greyed out) One of the very few interesting consequences caused by scandals, though it should happen in the BG anyway

@jackofallgames7 Tbf my family tree broke during early access where mods are completely disabled Besides getting that collapsed look, it also literally made up a connection by making a townie the mother of my Sim's spouse. I blamed it on the new family tree forging feature but idk at this point

And people are posting “my family trees are broken” when they warned any mods that rely on relationship data will break 😭 No matter if we get a new game or not, the modding culture and understanding of how to maintain mods we had from 2000 - 2019 will never return I fear 😪

So the pack includes a new phone service for requesting handiness upgrades to a repairman. They'll proceed to upgrade all the objects of the chosen category (plumbings ect) This is completely unrelated to the rest of the pack and I don't get why they didn't just make it free
