These Street Racers say they’re “built for speed”… apparently not built for court dates.
Two siblings decide to turn a public road into their own drag strip. Engines screaming… speeds pushing past 100 mph in a 50 mph zone.
For a few seconds it probably felt like a movie scene…adrenaline, competition, bragging rights.
Then reality hit. Hard.
The race spiraled into a devastating crash that shredded a vehicle in seconds. What started as a reckless thrill ended with prison sentences, destroyed lives, and families dealing with consequences that will last far longer than the race itself.
One sister gets 15 years in prison. The brother avoids prison for now because of juvenile jurisdiction.
So here’s the situation:
Was this just a stupid mistake that went horribly wrong… or was it inevitable once someone decides the road is their personal racetrack?
Should the brother have received the same punishment as the sister?
