For years large sections of the fanbase said they weren’t good enough. Every cameo was picked apart. Every mistake magnified. The demand was constant “upgrade, replace, move them on.” Now, when things go south, the same names are recycled as proof of “youth neglect”. It’s easy to say they should’ve stayed now, when it fits a narrative. But the truth is uncomfortable for many of you on here… those narratives were created by the fans themselves. You can’t spend seasons saying players aren’t Liverpool level, then cry foul when they’re no longer here. Our fanbase is one of the worst for hyping up talent to then dragging them back down when a performance isn’t what you dreamt it to be.
