I went to a circus as a 10yo kid and the seats we had were right at the entrance where the animals came in. The absolute TERROR I saw in those elephants' eyes enraged me and broke my heart at the same time. They're just as intelligent as we are, maybe more so. But their lifelong love for each other, even after death, is unequaled in the animal kingdom. Humans just need to leave them the hell alone and protect them from evil people.
