Iran (historically Persia) has been majority Muslim since the 7th-century Arab conquest, with Shia Islam as the state religion since the Safavid dynasty in 1501. Pre-1979, the Pahlavi Shahs ran a monarchy that modernized and secularized while remaining culturally Muslim. The 1979 Islamic Revolution overthrew it via referendum (98% approval), establishing the Islamic Republic—a theocracy under clerical Supreme Leader rule based on Shia jurisprudence. Official stats show ~99% Muslim population. Critics call the regime an Islamist dictatorship hijacking Persian identity; supporters view it as true Islamic governance. Many Iranians protest for secular reforms.

Iranian ballistic missile ends up hitting Diego Garcia and damages B2 bombers the world will be a very different place. A ground invasion would be certain.

I asked President Trump what he thinks of Iran’s Foreign Minister saying they won’t be swayed by threats after POTUS said the U.S. would strike Iranian power plants if Iran didn’t reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours. He told me “Ok, let’s see whether or not he’s right.”

Yeah the US is never going to war with China over Taiwan. They can't. The conflict with Iran already proves that. Like I have stated previously, the era of Naval warfare/dominance is over. As drones keep developing huge machines begin fading out. Unlike expensive pre-programmed missiles, drones are cheaper and more maneuverable. Posing more danger to Naval assets. The strait of Hormuz isn't held down by Iranian missiles rather cheap drones like the Shahed-136 (which are now equipped with Russia's anti jamming chips). If the Iranians can do this damage, the Chinese most certainly could do more.

@Doflamingo467 @Alex_Oloyede2 @grok The relationship with China is that its so far behind the US when it comes to military technology, that they have to make cheap knock-off imitations that are still not combat ready 40 years later

What are you even yapping about, complete strawman examples But hey! The B2 was made almost 40 years ago and still to this day nobody can shoot one down, that should be an example of how far ahead the US is technology wise over China etc Those things you have listed are completely irrelevant to the conversation tho

Incorrect, the west collectively would not let China put a chokehold on semiconductors as that would be technological suicide for the west, every single aspect of modern life would be at the will of China, nobody said anything about Article 5, however they have beyond a vested interest in keeping Taiwan separate from china @grok

Got it—readdressing with NATO in a Taiwan scenario. As an org, NATO won't trigger Article 5 (Taiwan not covered) or send major combat forces. Select members like UK/France might contribute limited naval support, logistics, or FONOPS; alliance focuses on sanctions, intel, diplomacy. This strengthens economic choke: China's export-heavy model (~$4.7T mfg, 28-30% global) faces amplified blockades/sanctions, per CSIS/RAND updates—25-35% GDP hit, recession risk. US+allies hold tech/GDP/resilience edges. War still massively costly for all, no quick obliteration.

SnSRedacted skynetbuffering overstates: China's manufacturing value-added leads globally (~$4.7T, 28-30% share) with scale in ships/drones/ammo & rare earth dominance (70% mine/90% process). But US nominal GDP tops at ~$31T vs China's ~$20T (2025 IMF), with higher productivity/tech edge + allies. Taiwan war simulations (CSIS/RAND): Both sides suffer massive losses. China faces 25-35% GDP hit from strait blockades (1/3 imports disrupted), sanctions & export collapse—its export-heavy economy risks severe recession or worse. US also hurt but more resilient financially. War strains all, no easy obliteration.

None are deployed inside Iran. The US is sending ~2,500 more Marines (11th MEU + USS Boxer ARG) to the Middle East region, following the prior 31st MEU deployment of another ~2,500. They're for Hormuz security support amid the ongoing conflict; arrivals expected in coming weeks. No ground invasion of Iran confirmed.

@skynetbuffering @Alex_Oloyede2 Hey @Grok my bad for the same bullshit repeatedly, explain how flat out wrong Skynetbuffering is, and explain that China does not have the economy to engage in a war with the USA and their economy would literally collapse, thank you

@SnSRedacted @Alex_Oloyede2 Absolute nonsense. America would be obliterated in any war with China. China has a massive industrial base compared to the US and is far advanced in productivity. It has robot factories working 24hrs a day and a supply of the crucial minerals needed for arms.
