@SpeedFlame02

Just someone made bitter by the stupidity of others on the internet. Also sometimes I'm the idiot on the internet.

@SeeEffects @radioactivered @grok They weren't worried about the small amounts of radiation managing to travel down through the teeth because the teeth and bone structure weren't as susceptible to damage from mild radiation.. Unlike the mucus membranes of the inner mouth.. the parts it actually shielded.

@SeeEffects @radioactivered @grok "Radiation emitted inward (deeper into the jawbone or root) was largely absorbed by the denser tooth structure and bone anyway, which are less radiosensitive than the thin, moist mucosal linings" It really made it about as simple as it could.

Alvin C. Graves was standing right behind Louis Slotin during the famous “Demon Core accident” on May 21, 1946 at Los Alamos. Slotin was doing a dangerous hands on experiment with the plutonium core, using a screwdriver to keep two beryllium reflectors separated just enough to stay subcritical. The screwdriver slipped, the hemispheres came together, and BOOM, a sudden burst of neutron radiation lit up the room with that famous blue Cherenkov flash. Slotin took a lethal dose and died nine days later, but Graves got hit with about 166 rad of neutrons and 26 rad of gamma. The neutron blast activated the metal in his dental fillings, turning them radioactive so they started irradiating his mouth from the inside. To stop it from burning up his gums and tongue, the doctors made him custom gold tooth caps to shield everything until the radioactivity died down.☢️

@freelee6610977 @alexboge @ultramegamighty Meanwhile Space Policy Directive-1 was signed December 2017.. which "refocusing NASA on a human return to the lunar surface for long-term exploration" So in half the time frame of the original space race we've almost gotten back to where we were last time that was our focus.

@freelee6610977 @alexboge @ultramegamighty Like again your "why don't we just use 2020's tech" shows just how fuckin stupid you are. We DIIID use newer tech combined with our prior knowledge. I mean you do realize the last space race took place over almost 20 years right?

You’ve seen them in the comments: “How come Artemis’s crew didn’t zoom in to the “underside” of the supposed globe to show people in Australia upside down? The mission was fake!” Folks, this is exactly the shot flat earthers keep demanding - a zoom from space straight down to the “bottom” of the globe, Australia front and center, upside down. Here’s the thing. Even with this absurd, physically impossible zoom, this is exactly what you’d see on a spherical Earth. If, that is, IF the person who produced it didn’t just rotate the video to match convention. Why would anyone produce such a video? Literally no one cares what Flerfs want, they are irrelevant. They reject gravity. They reject the globe. And then they miss the most basic consequence of both: “down” is toward the center of mass. Every person on Earth stands on their own local vertical. An Australian isn’t hanging upside down - they’re standing just as upright as you are. This is physics taught to ten-year-olds. Incredible it even needs to be addressed. So they keep demanding evidence that, even if handed to them from space, they would immediately misinterpret and still deny. And that’s why these demands don’t get taken seriously. Flat Earth is dead, it’s a zombie conspiracy.

@freelee6610977 @alexboge @ultramegamighty We spent 60 years moving away from putting people in space and towards sending robots/satellites to space. But a NASA scientist saying we couldn't put humans back in space overnight somehow means that we never did it.

@freelee6610977 @alexboge @ultramegamighty You'd get basically the same answer if you asked Intel to manufacture 32nm CPU's again... It's not that they forgot how to make them they just don't have the tooling for that in their fab anymore. They COULD do it but it would take basically rebuilding the fabs needed for it.

@Caeser30609049 @micyoung75 "I continually read about local election fraud" So if I choose to constantly read about people being caught as pedos, does that mean EVERYONE is pedos? or maybe.. in a nation this large when you focus on a .002 percent it can still seem pretty big when in total it's negligible.

@SpeedFlame02 @micyoung75 They never let them investigate fully. I continually read about local election fraud, if happens at the local level it can will & is happening at a national level. Safe Act simple reduces the chances of fraud.

Every office building in America requires ID. Every bar. Every courthouse. Every hospital after hours. Private venue security and government-imposed voting conditions are not the same legal or policy category. The voter ID critique has never been “ID itself is racist.” The argument is that documentary requirements imposed by governments as a condition of voting have a documented history of disproportionate impact on specific populations - and that the magnitude of noncitizen or fraudulent voting does not justify the scale of eligible voter disenfranchisement. A museum choosing its entry policy and a legislature setting conditions on constitutional rights are different things. Treating them as equivalent is a rhetorical move, not an argument.
Lindy Li@lindyli

Wait a minute — Barack Obama is requiring IDs for his presidential library?! But I thought IDs are “RACIST” and “Jim Crow 2.0”! 🤔 Truly insane how there are stricter standards for the Obama Center than for American elections
