Trinidad Chambliss was a 0 star and Fernando Mendoza was a 2 star coming out of high school. Both had to beg their way into college football. Both had and have special makeup and incredible work ethic. The coaches that knew them the best growing up, were probably telling college coaches they were special but the college coaches were reliant on the rankings to formulate their opinions.

This past Nov, OFHS Senior Emily Weber was recognized as the local and district winner of the VFW Voice of Democracy Essay contest. This year's essay topic was "What Does Patriotism Mean to Me?" Her speech now goes to the state competition. Way to go!
