We will be observing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with several events all week at the school. We grieve the innocent lives of Indigenous children lost and commit ourselves to a more inclusive future where #EveryChildMatters @SOArea6_TCDSB @Equity_TCDSB

Wear orange on Monday in memory of the Kamloops Residential School victims and all survivors/victims of residential schools. We encourage staff to learn more: read Tanya Talaga's "Seven Fallen Feathers" & Michelle Good's "Five Little Indians". We pray for all victims & families.

Tomorrow, all flags will be lowered at half-mast in memory of these & all residential school victims & survivors. We also encourage all #TCDSB students and staff to wear orange in a show of solidarity with residential school survivors and the “Every Child Matters” movement.
