Francesca is right. The Israeli settlements in the West Bank are not a separate enterprise from the Israeli state; they are part of it. Only sweeping EU & UK sanctions against Israel can match the state’s own sweeping illegality, not only there but in Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Syria.
