At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'm down at the Parking lot in Black Diamond (5 St & Centre Ave) until 5:30 today. Even thought the referendum threshold has been passed and will take place on October 19, 2026, now is the time to make like the Artemis II and blast this into orbit. Together let's send a message.

More people are already making the move to Alberta because they can see where this could be headed. The prospect of independence is pulling in entrepreneurs and builders who want to be here before the vote, not after. #AlbertaIndependence

Maybe the judiciary should be asking if a certain justice’s side quests to legitimize and defend terrorist rally supporters using taxpayer funds is undermining our legal system, instead of blaming the media for pointing it out?

Ottawa exploits Alberta’s wealth and our hard work through crushing taxes — then ships our money elsewhere. Albertans send billions more to Ottawa every year than we ever get back. The exploitation ends when we exercise our right of self determination by voting for independence on Oct. 19.

Q: The CCP is chaining Uyghur women to beds & raping them. Women are dragged from their cells, gang-raped by masked men, and tortured with electric batons. This is happening right now. Is there no level of barbarism that the federal gov will not overlook to trade with China?
Scott Robertson@sarobertsonca

François-Philippe Champagne: "Part of my message was that we need to get to a point where we remove these trade irritants that exist between Canada and China, so that we can look at the broader vision that has been put forward ... and increasing our trade when our interests align."

Red Deer status; I have never seen so many people carrying Alberta flags on the main Gaetz Avenue, running for 3 blocks. There were two petition signing stations PLUS a guy pulling a small flat deck trailer with Alberta petition wood framed sign on stand.

Armed guards at synagogues and police outside restaurants shouldn’t be the baseline for a Jewish holiday in Canada. This is welcomed, but a democracy that normalizes protecting one community from targeted violence has already failed that community.
Toronto Police@TorontoPolice

Toronto Police will have an increased and visible presence across the city this weekend at places of worship and gathering spaces. Our priority is simple: making sure people can gather and celebrate safely.

Court or not — Albertans will decide 🇨🇦➡️🇦🇱 @DanielleSmith just made it clear — if the courts try to block #Alberta’s right to vote on independence, she’s moving ahead anyway. No more federal or judicial ‘gatekeepers’ standing in the way of direct democracy. Love her or hate her, that’s leadership with backbone. It’s time the people — not Ottawa, not the courts — decide Alberta’s future. 💪🔥 Do you think Albertans should have the final say, even if the courts say no?

A veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces stopped me in Red Deer and shared a perspective that I think a lot of people need to hear in full, not reduced to a slogan. He told me his father fought in World War II. He told me his sons served in Afghanistan. This is not somebody speaking casually about loyalty, sacrifice, or duty. This is somebody from a family that has given real service across generations. And his message was blunt: in his view, Canada is no longer being loyal to people like him, and nothing meaningful is going to change in Ottawa. That is why he believes Alberta independence is now the only way forward. Whether someone agrees with that conclusion or not, people should at least understand the depth behind it. For many soldiers, veterans, and military families, loyalty is not an abstract idea. It is tied to duty, sacrifice, service, loss, and trust. The basic belief is that if you give yourself to a country, that country should still reflect the values you served to protect. When people who spent their lives serving begin to feel alienated from the direction of the country, that is not a small thing. I think the concern here is bigger than party politics. It is about the feeling that the institutions of Canada are no longer listening, no longer correcting course, and no longer representing the people who built, defended, and sustained this country. For some veterans, the frustration is not just with one bad policy or one bad government. It is the belief that the system itself is no longer responsive. That is the nuance people miss. When a veteran says Alberta independence is the only way forward, he is not necessarily saying he stopped caring about the country overnight. He may be saying the opposite. He may be saying he cared so much, for so long, that it means something when he finally concludes the relationship is broken beyond repair. A lot of soldiers and veterans may have concerns about even entertaining that idea. They may value unity, continuity, tradition, and the memory of what they served under. They may worry that supporting Alberta independence feels like turning their back on their service, their oath, or the people they served beside. That is a real emotional and moral tension. But the other side of that tension is this: what if loyalty is not supposed to be one-way? What if there comes a point where citizens, including veterans, have the right to say that the political system has become unworthy of their continued trust? What if defending freedom sometimes means being honest about when a government or a national project has drifted too far from the people it claims to represent? That is why this moment mattered. This was not just a random political opinion shouted from the roadside. It was a serious statement from someone whose family has lived service, sacrifice, and national duty. And when people like that start saying Ottawa will not change, others should pay attention. You do not have to agree with him to recognize the weight of what he is saying. Watch this and listen to his words for yourself.

The world shortages caused by the current war in the Persian Gulf have highlighted one of the great strengths of Alberta. While other countries wonder how they will get their supplies of oil, gas, fertilizers and petrochemicals, Alberta has an abundant supply.
Rise Of Alberta@RiseOfAlberta

Alberta already has what most countries wish they had. Energy. Fertilizer. Industrial capacity. Export strength. We do not need Ottawa. We need Alberta independence.
