💥 BREAKING NEWS 📢 parkrun policy change. In a move no one saw coming parkrun has announced the restoration of sex categories. The new parkrun categories will be Female or Male based on biology. All records held by males pretending to be female will be immediately expunged from the female listings and moved to where they belong in the male category. A parkrun spokesman said: ‘I don’t know what came over us. Denying women and girls their right to single-sex sport has been a shameful episode in our glorious history of community engagement. It never occurred to us that allowing men in women’s clothing to take women’s records would cause such a kerfuffle.’ Parkrun told us it had a change of heart over the egregious misogynistic policy when it kept seeing WRN’s eye-catching Save Women’s Sport T-shirts at parkruns all over the country. ‘Those wretched T-shirts kept reminding runners that the organisation didn’t give a monkeys about women’s rights to fair parkrun,’ said the anonymous spokesman. The new policy takes effect from today: 1st April 2026.
