@andy_taylor_3 @AndyBayes You spoke very well Andy, with knowledge of the Shrimps situation/plight I hope that you are correct that the Shrimps can start looking up rather than down… depending on promotion/relegation there could be 8 ex-FL clubs in the National League North next season!

E.g how many NLN sides have a media department, a full-time academy structure, or even a shop that is open on non-match days? People seem to think that these types of things can just carry-on unchecked alongside a full-time squad on gates that could fall back below 2k

Seen a few discussions about who the Shrimps should keep squad wise and disappointment about the club shop temporarily closing. I really don’t think the reality of pending relegation to the regional leagues has sunk in yet at all. Interesting to see how many supporters we retain

I think it’s difficult to justify the off-field operations we currently have with diminishing support and income - and if the current owners are not willing to dig deeper into their pockets than they already are doing, the club might need to cut its cloth accordingly

@savagesteph82 Whilst that is a massive overreaction straight after a devastating defeat - we do need to look at what has gone wrong since the win at Toulouse. I know Bevan is a big loss - but three very poor defensive displays have followed; which is unlike Wigan.

Devastating for the Shrimps. We need to take the positives and heart from that backs to the wall display; 50 minutes down to 10 and oh so nearly claimed a point. Fair play to York - they kept going and never really panicked.
