It was great to drop in to the Overstone Parish Council event on the WNC Local Plan. The parish council has clearly put a huge amount of work into going through the documents and presenting the information in a way that residents can understand and respond to. That work makes a real difference in helping people have their say. It is important that WNC recognises that communities cannot simply be expected to absorb large numbers of new homes without the infrastructure to support them. We already have facilities that were promised for existing developments but have still not been delivered. Local people want communities that are properly planned, with the roads, services and facilities needed to support them, not just housing numbers imposed on them. Thank you to Overstone Parish Council for all the work they have put into helping residents engage with this process.
