@timotheeology @Catholicizm1 I can never really tell if he's a paid actor or just a cartoonish example of the current zeitgeist

@Catholicizm1 Obv I never watch CA bc I'm not a normie who thinks Protestantism is a serious sect of Christianity, but Trent is smart (the only smart dude at CA imo) and in my judgment a good dude irl, even if he acts stuck up--moreover he's had a tough time over past year and deserves a break

🌍 This sculpture comes from Cerveteri (c. 520 - 510 BC), a city famous in the Archaic period for its clay sculpture. It is a sarcophagus depicting the deceased tenderly entwined, half stretched out on a bed in the attitude of banqueters. A masterpiece in the Campana collection, this sarcophages, known as the Husband and Wife, was probably discovered around 1845-1846.
The quality and modelling of the figures and the care taken with the painted decoration make this monumental urn one of the most accomplished productions of the Etruscan workshops, of which at least one slightly different replica, found in 1881, is known.

The seated burials have often been interpreted as victims of sacrifices or as executed individuals.
Delattre suggests that, given the cross-legged/ heel sitting postures of the deceased, these might have practised meditation or self-mummification (akin to the Buddhist Nyōjō)

Valérie Delattre, who recorded around 60 Iron age seated Burials in France and Switzerland, explains that: -most of the graves lacked grave goods; -were located near sanctuaries or aristocratic habitats; -individuals were adult male placed in pits with faces toward the west;

“Apollo is the god who sits in the centre, on the navel (ὀμφαλοῦ) of the earth, and he is the interpreter (ἐξηγητής) of religion for all mankind.” (Rep. 427b)

Today’s view from Delphi. “Looking therefore at God, we should make use of him as the most beautiful mirror, and among human concerns we should look at the virtue of the soul; and thus, by so doing, shall we not especially see and know our very selves?” (1 Alc. 133c)

@UbiPetrus2019 While not to be taken lightly, past body count is far less important than recent/ongoing behavior. It's something to be approached with caution, clarity, and prayerful consideration.
Life in Christ, ongoing repentance, and full transparency would be non negotiable.

@UbiPetrus2019 The modern Christian fascination with defending whores and projecting virtue on them is pure comedy

This chick is an absolute predator. The immediate vibe is her telling legions of her fellow 'I've-had-my-fun-and-now-I-need-a-meal-ticket-THOTs' is "Churches are where the eatin' is good, lots of naive guys you can hitch your wagon to & push around once you're used up."
