It’s clear an Australian pipeline is about to develop at Arizona State. Randy Bennett, of course, previously forged a strong Australian pipeline at Saint Mary’s, and Rick Croy (who’s also joining the staff) did the same as head coach at CBU. Adding Patrick makes it inevitable.

@carbonmfg @Pac12Central The difference is BYU was one of a couple independent teams. If the entire FBS was independent, no one would be propped up or downgraded on their record based on conference affiliation. I believe BYU was penalized for not having that affiliation

@SunDevilASU0 @Pac12Central My guy - independence was something that byu felt they needed to do and fans still debate whether it was good or bad overall - maybe we aren't in a conference with you if we didn't do it. But talk to any byu fan about it overall, that's a rough road and the season ends at loss 1
