๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Britain doesn't have a 'wealth tax.' And campaigners are demanding one. But it raises an obvious question. Why, then, does the UK raise more revenue from wealth than any other OECD country, including those that have a wealth tax?

@owenjonesjourno This is just asinine. No, kicking someone in the head isn't protocol. Of course it isn't. But in the moment, the officers had to subdue the threat. They took the actions they thought were necessary. That should be the end of it.

Hold on - what? If police officers think someone might be carrying explosives, protocol is to kick them in the head repeatedly like this? Is that actual police protocol? If so, how is it a wise police protocol? Can someone explain the reasoning?
Sky News@SkyNews

.@KamaliMelbourne: 'The video of the Golders Green terror attack arrest shows the officers kicking this individual in the head. Is that appropriate force to use?' Met Police Commissioner: "In most situations it wouldn't be reasonable, but in that situation it was reasonable."

I donโ€™t drink, but I want MPs to drink because it evokes a better time, and perhaps thereโ€™s even a causal relationship there. Only caveats are it must be: -men only -spirits only (decanted from special bottle) -afternoon

This is really simple - women don't process words as having meanings "Low-carbon energy" is *good* "Nuclear power" is *bad* Therefore Nuclear power is not low-carbon because bad is not good

This seems really bad and I don't know what to do about it: not so much the differences in political attitudes, that's fine, but there's a strong gender divide in belief on straightforward factual questions like "is nuclear energy low-carbon?" yougov.com/en-gb/articlesโ€ฆ

@Kev_OC66 @PolitlcsUK And yet military leaders are still saying there is a ยฃ28bn shortfall. Lord Robertson, who the government appointed to do the SDR, is saying the government is dragging their heels on defence. They still haven't published their defence investment plan. Sounds like a struggle to me.
