2nd time confirms house-made brisket stack at Savory Gourmet is an all-time great. Also had lobster bisque and best I've had since Iris. I love @TGMchef 1-2 punch of TGM, Fred's more than you do. But Savory Gourmet as good as any place with quality + quantity of sandwiches.

@xianechronicles I made egg salad the other day to try and mimic the egg salad I had in Japan. Put leftovers in fridge, toughened the eggs. Never knew it.
I was skeptical, but putting a pinch of sugar as well as some salt in the tamago sando (卵サンド) I make with Kewpie mayo and never-refrigerated hard boiled eggs on fluffy white bread really works! Never chives, bacon, or other distractions...
@xianechronicles Collards. Chili. Griddled. Anything you would use bacon for. Matzo Brei with pastrami and maple syrup. That would be my go to tomorrow. :)
How do I maximize a chunk of thickly sliced pastrami (roughly a pound) I was gifted? Don't say sandwiches...say something that will last for a while...alas i no longer have cabbages and my cute tatsois are mere babies
