Nigeria was never as rich as people believed. It was sustained by volatile income and masked by policy distortions. That mask is off now. What we are experiencing is not the economy getting worse. It is the economy being seen clearly for the first time in decades.

The country is moving from a system built on illusion (oil rents + subsidies + controls) to one that has to confront actual productivity. That transition is never comfortable.

OLODO LEADERS Sowore built his party - the AAC - brick by brick, and has contested elections under its banner without once running foul of the law. Even Seriake Dickson, in his quiet deliberateness, has gone and registered his own. But these so-called heavyweight clowns? They have wandered like cattle without a herdsman. They drifted from their various parties into ADA like men fleeing a burning house with no destination in mind. They dispatched Mallam to SDP - only for that one to arrive and begin throwing his weight around like a landlord in a house he did not build. The party threw him out like used pad and suspended him for eternity. Then came ADC. Still unwilling to plant, to water, to tend - they grabbed the leadership like a child snatching a kite mid-flight, haphazard, undemocratic and lawless... and now, predictably, they stand stranded again. The kite has fallen. This is why, if you never appreciated Asiwaju's leadership acumen before, you must bow your head and reckon with it now. Here was a man who looked the monstrous PDP in the eye - at the height of its power, when joining it was the path of least resistance - and turned away. He chose instead to forge his own road, slowly, through discipline and strategy, the way a blacksmith shapes iron: with heat, patience, and repetition. That journey must not only be studied - it must be internalized, lived, preserved, and passed down like an heirloom to every future generation that dares to lead. These olodo leaders should stop polluting the political atmosphere and humble themselves to learn the rudiments of party formation and leadership for the Jagaban... As for Peter - The man is still a boy.

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame. What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed. Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Military airstrikes eliminate scores of ISWAP terrorists in Borno operations By: Zagazola Makama Precision air interdiction missions conducted by the Nigerian Air Force component of Operation HADIN KAI have eliminated scores of ISWAP terrorists in separate coordinated strikes at Kangarwa and Ali Jilamari areas of the Northern Tumbuns in Borno State. Military sources told Zagazola Makama that the operations were executed on April 1, following credible intelligence and confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The source said the first strike was carried out at about 12:05 p.m. on ISWAP enclaves in Kangarwa, a known terrorist stronghold, after ISR conducted on March 27 confirmed mass movement of fighters within the location. According to him, airborne surveillance identified multiple terrorists operating around and inside structures within the enclave before precision munitions were delivered in successive attack passes. He said the targeted structures were completely destroyed, with scores terrorists neutralised in the strike, while others scampered for safety in different direction. In a separate operation at about 4:45 p.m. the same day, the air component conducted another interdiction mission at Ali Jilamari, described as a newly established terrorist hideout in the Northern Tumbuns. The source said the mission followed credible human intelligence and ISR confirmation, which revealed active terrorist logistics hubs and structures within the area. He added that the air platforms engaged the targets with precision strikes, destroying identified structures and logistics hubs while eliminating additional terrorists. The source described the operations as part of sustained air offensives aimed at degrading terrorist capabilities and denying them freedom of movement in the Lake Chad Basin.

Nafiu dragged David Mark to the Federal High Court, seeking an ex parte order. The judge didn’t grant it outright, instead, he asked Mark to come and show cause why the request shouldn’t be approved. Rather than argue it there, Mark went to the Court of Appeal. The appellate court was clear: go back to the Federal High Court and argue your case. More importantly, the Court of Appeal cautioned Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to take any action that could render the pending suit useless. In simple terms "dont recognize anybody". No Mark. No Nafiu. No faction. Until the court settles the leadership tussle, there is officially no recognized leadership. INEC didn’t pick sides; they simply obeyed the court.

Troops discover, neutralise IED along Ngoshe–Pulka road in Borno By: Zagazola Makama Troops of Sector 1, Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have discovered and safely neutralised an improvised explosive device (IED) along the Ngoshe–Pulka road in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno. Sources said that the incident, though reported belatedly, occurred at about 9:30 a.m. on March 31 during a routine route clearance operation. The source said the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team of the 82 Division Task Force Battalion detected the IED while conducting a scan of the main supply route (MSR) ahead of the deployment of piqueting troops along the axis. “The IED, suspected to have been planted by Boko Haram terrorists, was discovered buried along the MSR at Bokko area on the Ngoshe–Pulka road,” the source said. He added that the EOD team swiftly recovered and detonated the device in situ, thereby preventing potential harm to troops and civilian commuters. The source further noted that the route clearance was part of ongoing efforts by troops to ensure the safety and security of critical supply routes in the North-East theatre of operations.

If you have eyes, use them. The reconstruction of the Ibadan–Ilesa/Ife Federal Highway is not a promise, it is happening in real time. Reinforced concrete. Visible progress. Movement on ground. This is not your usual “we will do” politics. This is work. This road links Osun, Oyo, and Ondo. That is commerce, that is mobility, that is economic oxygen for the Southwest. But of course, some people will still sit comfortably on their phones, allergic to facts, pretending nothing is happening. You people don’t like good news. You only wake up when there is chaos to amplify. Progress irritates you because it exposes your bias and your refusal to be honest. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Engr. David Umahi are laying down infrastructure that will outlive noise, propaganda, and selective outrage. This is not vibes. This is governance. Cry if you want. The road will still be completed.

This News was June 2020, that was two year before the Presidential election and two years before Tinubu declared for the Presidential race in APC..... It won't be out of place to conclude that whatever crisis happened especially in Lagos as the main target in year 2020 had some powerful people within APC targeting Tinubu also.... Yes, those innocent ones within APC that eventually declared interest in APC Presidential primaries cannot be ruled out of the game.... Well, the game is the game, only that Asiwaju was way ahead!

Nigeria has recorded a milestone in its oil exports with its first-ever shipment of Cawthorne crude to India, marking a strategic move to diversify crude grades and expand export destinations. The maiden cargo, estimated at 950,000 barrels, was lifted from the Niger Delta and delivered to Indian refiners seeking more flexible crude options. The development strengthens Nigeria’s position in the global oil market, particularly within the Atlantic Basin, while deepening trade ties with India—one of the world’s largest crude importers. It also reflects ongoing efforts to boost oil revenues, optimize existing assets, and introduce new crude blends, with potential for sustained exports depending on market demand and production stability.
