So, if I'm not reading it incorrectly, the new rules doc appears to be indicating that there's no local connection option in Champions Online connection required for both majors and locals alike Genuinely hope this isn't the case as that's a massive step backwards.

An off-season during the exact time of year when students have the most free time is a bafflingly terrible decision.
I’ve had very limited time for events this year due to my master’s studies and I was looking forward to attending more during my summer break.
Now, they’re gone.

@gearhartpkmn the next world championships, THEN have an offseason during the schoolyear, then re-start point-yielding events for the same season after a 2-3 month break.

I am responding to your question of "why not move the offseason to the middle of the schoolyear." I don't think it makes very much sense to have summer events counting towards-

@gearhartpkmn You could make the argument that they should re-structure the entire circuit series to make worlds and the off-season at a more convenient time - but personally, I think having Worlds during summer, when school is not in session, makes the most sense.

@gearhartpkmn last-second plane tickets because they qualified at the last minute. Since we already can't have events between the last point-yielding event of the season and worlds, it would not make sense to have ANOTHER off-season at any other time during the year.
