@certifiedsanji i wouldn’t be surprised if since they seem to have started production on the 2026 stuff there’s just a big mix of wheels ending up with stuff like this, there’ll probably be a bunch of 26 items with wheel holes in the first few batches

wait why tf does the other side have holes in the wheels when these reissues from the latest motorized case shouldn't have them

@SplendidRed1925 nah just the bad glare lol, though in person the roofs do seem to be very slightly darker/more blue tinted on the vietnam if that’s anything

a lot of people worried about vietnam becoming the main production country for the plastic thomas toys, but i gotta say they’ve really stepped up their game from that first wave, every vietnam item i see now has been of a consistently higher quality than the china versions

these aren’t the best comparisons with the glare lol but you get the idea, i’m very interested to see how motorized 2026 looks when it releases

left is china right is vietnam,, this example isnt as sound as both have their issues but i feel the lines are aligned quite a bit better on vietnam, i’ve also never found a china james without the noticeable overlap on the bands, unlike vietnam which has been pretty consistent

the plastic engines make more sense when you realize all the track and stuff is made in vietnam, so it’s probably a lot cheaper to make cheap plastic copies for production in vietnam rather than having to get in the main engines from thailand

@traigolabonita the diecasts were never moved to china or vietnam, and we already know motorized and some of the other plastic toys are being made in vietnam so we’re still going to see some of these issues unfortunately, nothings changed

do you not realize how much of a blessing this is? NO MORE CRAP PRINTING, NO MORE MILKSHAKE RUNNING BOARDS, NO MORE MISSING PART, BETTER FUCKING THOMAS TOYS. WE ARE FUCKING BACK.

@E2FORLIFE1983 yeah, i’m guessing they’re hoping for it to last a little longer on shelves before the new stuff with them only now pushing stuff like load n launch and randomly sending out talking waves
