Do you want a meaningful endgame that certain people will choose to overcome, and therefore make the difficulty of it lucrative for ambitious players? A genuine goal to achieve?
Or another unambitious strike map that becomes routine?
You cant have both without losing something.

to clarify, I think that the concept of the content is good and pretty wild, but is it good in terms of drawing players to the game or engaging 95% of the existing base? Ehhhh

@Tedd_zero For sure, it rocks, and I seriously respect the intention and commitment Bungie’s clearly poured into Cryo. I’m looking to try and give it a go soon myself, armed with only the blue Volley Rifles in my vault and the occasional purple shield I come across😭

Incredibly cool, only real complaint is the 5k requirement. It's frustrating to not be able to learn something new without risking a decent amount. Although honestly that's part of the appeal as well?
Oh yea and matchmaking system becomes a liiiiiittle problematic here.

@PrismaticGeyser What I do think is this is something genuinely different to anything out there right now, but it also feels like an experiment. A risky one.

@PrismaticGeyser My comparison to Destiny's raids were more about the reward, not necessarily the content itself, but you are right they aren't the same feeling thing.
And I also agree that this isn't quite a VoG moment... It's hard to catch lighting in a bottle twice.

@DS__LFC__ @JellybackJoe Most of the guns I took in were all acquirable through the armoury, with exception to two repeaters, two channel rifles and a WSTR, and valued around blue to green.
Consumables also count.

@Gevany31427941 I had 2 green WSTRs that I could carry in both hands and meet the requirement without counting consumables. Easiest down payment in my life.
There's even a one-time use sponsor kit specifically for Cryo if you just wanna get in and see it and not lose everything on the first go.

@Tedd_zero then theres people saying about the 5k requirement being bad for an endgame map and im just like if its something as easily achieveable as that, that turns you away then i think theres something else going on at that point and that cant be fixed.

@Tedd_zero i also had a guy tell me he was only going in there to solo to kill people and leave and thats why he wanted solo i was like why not just play other maps this one isnt intended for you the difficulty just leaves you doing nothing most of the raid.

Things would be too erratic and one person fighting the compiler when it has mechanics that require at least two people to manage aggro and the terminals... might be too much.
Crew fill is doable, just gotta lock in real hard.

@Tedd_zero I also idk it may just be a me thing but is it unreasonable for me to say that this map wasn't intended for solo only cause I'm seeing a lot of this but it feels like bungie made it with a goal in mind and solo only wouldn't bring that goal to light.

But the shiny cool thing wouldn't be as special if it were that easy to pull off.

@Tedd_zero yeah, i also feel the same but somethings have to be said like ive got people talking about how they should dumb down the difficult and make it accessible all the time without thinking what it could do to the overall loot economy of the game.

You can look back to classic WoW's old An'qiraj event title, Ultimate raids in FFXIV, to Destiny's raid titles.
It's a carrot on a stick that only the dedicated will ever chase. That's who they want from this game; the committed.
If it were easy we'd all have cryo skins by now.
