A lot of Nigerians think NYSC is a waste of time until they realize the guy they shared bunk bed with in camp is now working in Chevron, Seplat Energy, NNPC, Deloitte or a tech company abroad. Nigeria runs heavily on “who knows you.” NYSC just exposes you to it early. Are you learning?

Pep Guardiola on Rayan Cherki not being a ‘typical Guardiola player’: “Good question! What is my typical player? (Ilkay Gundogan) Yeah, give me another. (Lionel Messi) Yeah… "I don't have typical players, as much as they love to play. If he’s not my typical player, it's not bad for the first season what he's doing. I don't believe in that... There are good players, and not good players. Strong here [in the mind], and not strong. "If you're a good player and strong here, you can play in all teams, the big teams in the world, and normally big teams are guided by the top, top managers. So of course he can play, it's my style, my type... All the players I have here are my type of players, all of them..." [via @HaytersTV]

Nysc is experiencing low registration because 1. people are starting to value their lives more. 2. It's super expensive. 3. No guaranteed job afterwards. 4. Most are already switching to getting skills instead of getting killed. Love it for everyone that is boycotting. 💜🤲🏾

Pep basically replaced Foden’s role as a secondary scorer (to Haaland) with Semenyo. But the difference is that Semenyo is better as a wide threat and has better general movement in the box & in-behind defences. This is why it is likely best for Foden to move clubs this summer.
