Cannabis Compound Cannabidiol Triggers Cancer Cell Death in Glioblastoma - brain cancer! 'In this study, we looked at how CBD fights cancer. CBD increases the production of harmful oxygen molecules (ROS) and activates a cell signal (ERK). It also changes how cells handle waste (autophagy) and a type of cell death called ferroptosis. CBD also blocks a protein (SLC7A11) that cells use to import amino acids and boosts another protein (TFRC) that helps with iron uptake.
