Public Announcement: (TL;DR: Do NOT post your art on e6ai unless you understand and accept the CLA and ToS on e6ai's website and GitHub.) I had my content on e6ai removed indefinitely after my content was getting deleted because of my watermark. My watermark contained my Patreon and Subscribestar logo, which is a violation of their "advertisement rule". After I complied and removed those logos, an updated post was removed again because it contained a link to my profile here on X, and since my profile here has my Patreon and Subscribestar links, it was considered "indirect advertisement". So, since I didn't want to be treated differently than artists on e621, I asked to have my content removed, which they promptly did and I appreciate that. But then I got to thinking. Why does e6ai care so much about advertisement, and especially how aggressively they enforce the level of content quality that is allow to be posted there? That's when I looked into the CLA and decided it was best I remove my content from the site. I personally came to feel the site’s policies were not in the best interests of creators like me, compared to e621. Then I posed the question to ChatGPT just now to see if it also came up with a similar conclusion, and it's answer reassured me of my decision. *I added screenshots of the CLA, ChatGPT's response, and the e6ai/e621 wiki showing public information about the sites ownership* To be clear, my statement reflects my personal opinion and interpretation. My opinion is based on my personal understanding of what I experienced and the material I was able to find and read at the time of this post. I am not claiming to have definitive proof of misconduct or malicious intent, but as a means of bringing awareness to other artists and content creators out there, so they may be more cautious before publishing their work to any website before reviewing a website’s CLA or ToS. Side note, for those who aren't aware, Both e621 and e6ai are owned by the CEO of Bad Dragon. Not that it really matters, but I figured I'd share that. P.S. Do NOT blame the e6ai staff/janitors for any of this. They are unpaid volunteers who donate their time to maintain and run the site. They are simply enforcing the rules Dragon Fruit Ventures has in place, and I respect them for that.
