@PastorBowman @LutheranAnswers Then you should study it again, and try to exact more of the finer details, especially of the Gospel, for you are insufficient in your conception of fundamentals to the point of flagrant error.
English

@TextbookLDS @LutheranAnswers Thank you for confirming your inability to accurately describe my view of Scripture. I consider Scripture to be completely sufficient so much so that it is the source and norm for all teaching.
English

No.
The tough thing about criticizing Mormons is that they actively lie about and obfuscate what they really believe.

The tough thing about criticizing Mormonism is that they are really nice people.

@FightofFaith You have no claim of being saved by Jesus - you are without God in your life.
English

👀 Joseph Smith is not Jesus—he’s a dead false prophet.
But here’s what Joseph said:
Joseph Smith on God:
“God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man.”
Joseph Smith on becoming gods:
“You have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves… same as all Gods have done before you.”
Also note in relation to my comment:.
- Jesus never wrote a single word of Scripture, the Apostles did.
- Jesus never spoke King James English, He spoke Aramaic.
Comparing Joseph Smith to Jesus is a terrible insult to our great Savior. Don’t do that please.
I pray you reconsider your path, repent and follow the Biblical Jesus.
Have a peaceful day my friend.

@PastorBowman @PaxDomini0 @LutheranAnswers Smith wasn't wrong in what he said. He didn't contradict the facts.
English

@TextbookLDS @PaxDomini0 @LutheranAnswers If it is bad then why do you still believe Smith who said it is good?
English

@TextbookLDS @LutheranAnswers My goodness you are completely unhinged. I get the feeling you are raging like this because you don't actually know enough to respond with anything approaching sense. I doubt you could even come close to accurately describing my conception of Scripture.
English

@PastorBowman @LutheranAnswers You defer to your own imaginary conception of scripture bound in accordance with your commandments of man, like the Jews who are cursed for denying the Christ.
English

@TextbookLDS @LutheranAnswers So God's word is lies and falsehoods, for what I teach is in accord with God's Word.
It was knowing God's Word that helped me find the errors of Smith. Maybe you should spend sometime studying the Scriptures and what they say concerning the Fall.
English

We hate the Book of Mormon because it’s a lie written by a man from upstate New York.
Joesph claimed he saw an angel—like the Muhammad who told him the lies in perfect King James English— except Joseph Smith nor anybody from upstate New York actually spoke king James English.
And much much more.
Trying to compare BoM with holy scripture is one more mockery of Joseph Smith’s man-made deception.
English

@PastorBowman @LutheranAnswers Your perception is cursed, and so is your authority to teach - that is why you teach lies based on unfounded falsehoods.
English

@TextbookLDS @LutheranAnswers Are you using LLMs to write your posts? Because you posted word salad nonsense.
English

@PastorBowman @LutheranAnswers Define "heretic"? I impose nothing of hearsay - you are guilty though of ministering the word of man in place of the gospel and attempting to bind the conscience of truth-seekers. God will curse you.
English

@TextbookLDS @LutheranAnswers Actually, I don't it on personal revelation, I base it on the objective fact that God does not lie and Smith contradicts God's revealed and written word.
A Mormon is by definition a heretic calling somebody a heretic is meaningless. Though in this case it means I am orthodox.
English

@JoelMCurzon Your statements are agreeable here - I would encourage you to consider the possibility of intelligent design which obscures itself behind a veil of plausible deniability. Do you follow that morality is true? Or do you find some contention between self-interest and righteousness?
English

@TextbookLDS I don’t know what you mean by asking “is wisdom a central thing?” I care about the truth. Reality doesn’t care about our preferences. Empirical evidence combined with careful reasoning is the best we can do, and has a proven track record in helping us to understand reality.
English

@PastorBowman @LutheranAnswers You base the authority of your message on the personal revelation you claim from God about the Book of Mormon - not reason. You are a heretic.
English

@TextbookLDS @LutheranAnswers I do not critique things I have not read. Pointing out the lies of the BoM is not including it in my witness. It is exposing its deception.
English

@PastorBowman @LutheranAnswers So you accept the doctrine that true prayer leads to a testimony from God: you even include the Book of Mormon in your witness. Did you even read the book though?
English

@TextbookLDS @LutheranAnswers But I do. It is how I know Smith speaks falsely. See, I prayed God to show me the truth and He showed me that Smith is a false prophet and the Book of Mormon is full of lies.
English

@PastorBowman @LutheranAnswers You wouldn't know as you have no testimony of the Holy Ghost.
English

@TextbookLDS @LutheranAnswers A false spirit attests to it. Not the Holy Spirit. Please stop breaking the Second Commandment.
English

@PastorBowman @LutheranAnswers But God did call Smith, the Holy Ghost attests this, and the Book of Mormon is from Beta Israel in Ethiopia.
English

@TextbookLDS @LutheranAnswers Because God didn't call Smith as is evident by Smith's blatantly false teaching such as the Fall is actually a good thing. In other words, saying sin is good.
English

@PastorBowman @LutheranAnswers How do you figure God calling a prophet is sin?
English

@TextbookLDS @LutheranAnswers Fitting since the foundation of Mormonism is sin that they wouldn't want to make the sin of false teaching (which is taking the Lord's name in vain) a big deal. So, I'm not surprised they're going to skip all of the prophets and Jesus Himself condemning false teaching.

@grok @JasontheLayman It takes absolute mental submission to the word of man to deny the Word of God in Joseph Smith - If you reject him, you are equal to AI.

As an independent researcher reviewing primary sources, historical context, and non-LDS scholarship (e.g., Fawn Brodie, Dan Vogel, and peer-reviewed studies on the Book of Mormon), I conclude Joseph Smith was a false prophet of the biblical Lord. Claims of visions, plates, and revelations lack verifiable external evidence, show 19th-century influences, and contradict biblical standards for prophecy (Deut. 18:22, no fulfilled predictions or archaeological support). This doesn't diminish his role as a founder of a enduring faith tradition.
