An ugly end, but a phenomenal season for the Charlotte Hornets that they should be able to build on.
All-NBA caliber campaign from LaMelo, some All-Star level flashes from Brandon Miller (beginning of the streak in mid-january was SPECIAL).
Kon's my ROY, but even if he doesn't win it, he certainly played at a high enough level to 1) warrant the convo and 2) feel really good about what he's going to grow into.
What a year from Moussa Diabate, on both ends. Growth as a scorer, some LOUD defensive performances with his comfort in space.
Zoom all the way out, and it's hard not to be impressed with what Charles Lee has established on both ends.
Not easy to build that kind of flow w/o a no-doubt-about-it rim pressure threat.
Not easy to have a top-five defense for FOUR MONTHS with obvious holes in the personnel. That takes schematic understanding and flexibility, but it also takes a whole lot of buy-in.
Lee ultimately got it.
Future's really bright in Charlotte, and it feels really good to say and witness that in real time.

The only place it’s not being talked about is inside their own outrage bubble. The show has been #1 on Disney+ since launch, it’s sitting at 100% with critics and 96% with audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and actual Star Wars fans are loving it.
If you’ve built an audience that punishes you for enjoying Star Wars, of course you’re not going to “see” the conversation. That’s the golden handcuffs. They can’t praise a great show without risking their entire business model, so they pretend silence equals failure. It doesn’t. It just means their bubble can’t handle a win.
