Not sure how to explain it, but I find this old Sega Harmony cover really cute because it shows that Sonic has a house he rarely stays at.
Another cute detail about his house is that the walls and the furnitures are all red colored!
(Just like his boots and his vehicles!)

Rather interesting that prior to the background being full of colorful shapes like we all know, the Japanese Sonic 1 boxart actually had a mountainous area with the sky and from what looks to be a lake instead.
Perhaps it was meant to be an early version of Green Hill?

I'm very intrigued by the early versions of the castle courtyard and the Temple of Time! I know it was common in early 3D games but the pre-rendered backdrops here give me old school Resident Evil vibes.

I'm playing around and exploring some of the recovered beta maps in Ocarina of Time and one thing that I've noticed is how much larger these areas once were!
Maybe being their first time developing 3D Zelda environments they didn't quite have their sense of scale set just yet?

Just beat Sonic Drift 2!
I really like this ending picture lol.
It's kinda cute how to avoid problems with the limited palette of the Game Gear, they made the little photo in sepia so that every characters could be shown.
Though, it indirectly gave it an "older" feel.

@AngelDJ63637 I really prefer the sense of speed in the first game not gonna lie.
However the maps in Sonic Drift 2 are a lot more interesting gameplay wise and visually.

@TheJoshMan07 The only plus in this version (no pun intended) is the fact that the speed up powerup isn't ridiculously *slow* like the 2011 console versions.
Other than that the sound mixing in the origins version of CD is still dogshit how did they NOT fix it.

I gotta say though I hate that Origins is the only currently available version of this game. Itโs generally just a less polished version of the 2011 version and the drop dash being a permanent addition is so insanely dumb. Obviously I know not to use it but new players wonโt.

as an active fighting game player, the idea of a Sonic fighting game by ArcSys for example is like my dream game
