And so it was in Strasbourg, in 1949, where the Council of Europe was established to encourage cooperation between European countries, in order to better respect democracy and to defend human rights; and, in 1959, where the European Court of Human Rights was established.

SAVE THE DATE 23-25 June 22 The EYBA Summer conference 22 was supposed to take place in Kyiv but due to the tragic ongoing conflict in Ukraine we were forced to look for another hosting city. Thanks to FNUJA, no other place would have been more appropriate than STRASBOURG.

Saddened that the President of the @TheEYBA and I (as #HumanRights representative to the @coe ) had to draft this statement. Solidarity with our Ukrainian Young Bar members & so disappointing our summer conference can not take place in Kiev. We stand with #Ukraine 🇺🇦

📍Upcoming legislative changes Seminars will take place between 9am and 2pm on Friday 25th March and 10am and 2pm on Saturday 26th March at the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow. There will be opportunities for networking during breakout sessions.
