Reminder: The Miami Heat were the only team in the East this season to NOT make a trade.
Over the years, they have missed out on players like Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, Kyrie Irving, Russell Westbrook, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bradley Beal, and Ja Morant.
They are now 2–8 in their last 10 games and sit as the 10th seed in the East, poised to head to the play-in tournament for the fourth straight season.

Comp update: Kirk Cousins will sign a five-year, $172 million deal with the Raiders that in reality is a one-year, fully-guaranteed $20 million deal that also contains a club option for two years at $80M. The Falcons will pay Cousins $8.7 million this season, the Raiders another $1.3 million and Las Vegas also agreed to pay its new QB a fully-guaranteed $10 million roster bonus on the third day of the 2027 new league year. And maybe most notably, it also sets another new mark: this will be the 11th straight NFL season in which Cousins’ contract will be fully guaranteed.

Within Jaden Ivey’s 45-minute rant posted on Instagram a short time ago, he takes aim at the NBA celebrating pride night: “Join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness. They (NBA) proclaim it.” Ivey will likely be fined from this. A truly unfortunate situation to watch.
