LeBron diving for that ball while CB just watched was one of the more disappointing plays of night

@TrayceChapman Bro. This can’t be how they hoop. Pissed me off lol

@TrayceChapman I went and watched the interview clip. The “I got blacker” part was cringy and weird.
But it seems to me that he’s doing the opposite of using the “culture” and then falling back into catering to white folks. Almost the opposite. Again for better or worse. Strange situation imo
English

@TheRealAGE_ No I’m not expecting that. But this neo soul vibe he’s coming with doesn’t feel authentic. And also I feel like he has a better chance at this style than making rap music that is considered classic lol
English

@TrayceChapman That’s makes sense. I was just curious. And I’ve definitely seen that.
I want to play devils advocate here tho.
Are you expecting Jack to exit stage left? Because (for better or worse) it seems like he’s still in the “culture” per se. He’s not making country (yet 😂)
English

@TheRealAGE_ More tedious parts. There’s just alot of examples of folks dabbling in the culture and exiting stage left when they’ve gained the notoriety they were seeking.

@TrayceChapman I haven’t seen the interview either. Imma find it. Cuz I can’t imagine in what context he would say that and think it was a good thing to say.
I would like to hear more about how you distinguish it tho. Like before all this new Harlow stuff. What made you feel the way you do?

@TheRealAGE_ He actually had an interview where he said the words “I got blacker” on camera. And laughed afterwards. I think there is space to pay homage of course and make what you love but I think the bigger issue is this idea that hip hop/culture is a spring board/stepping stone
