Colcot road learners from the Vocational Access group participated in their planned visit to Porthkerry last week. They were very lucky with the weather and walked a total of 7.5 miles 🚶♂️➡️☀️

Foundations of Care learners in Colcot Road went shopping today (and had some donations) which we took to Baby Basics in Barry. They make Moses baskets filled with items for babies and mums who are in difficult situations. It was lovely to be able to donate so much 🙂

Well done to the learners who took part in the Inclusive Skills Wales Horticultural competition last week at @coleggwent Their behaviour was impeccable and we were very proud of them 👏🏻

Very impressed with our Vocational Access learners who are usually very nervous to speak in front of others. As part of their qualification they developed their own icebreakers in preparation for our next Experience day. Thanks to another class who they practiced them on.

Absolutely blown away by our Work skills learners this week. They worked so hard on creating a brilliant Cinderella panto. Props, costumes, rehearsals, dance routines, learning lines and developing their confidence along the way. Outstanding work 🤩

What a year !!! 40% of the learners are progressing onto full time provision and 100% developed their communication and independence. Amazing to see learners develop skills - all about the small steps !!
