Meet George, a performance engineer, working to get the best performance out of the X44 electric race cars. ⚡ When George was young, he didn’t fully know what engineering was and used to confuse it with being a mechanic, after speaking with his brother he realised engineering would give him more options. He studied engineering at GSCE and realised it was more than just fixing things, it was about building things and coming up with new ideas. 💡 George went on to study mechanical engineering at University College London. Help the environment, become an engineer! Meet Lucy, a product designer who is tackling climate change. Lucy created a biodegradable plastic using fish waste and algae, to help reduce single-use plastic waste. 🐟 Lucy now plans to make MarinaTex, her biodegradable plastic, on a large scale to help reduce plastic entering our oceans. 🌊 Lucy was lead into engineering while doing a project at university while studying product design.
