If creatures this small lived in the world around you — hidden in the tall grass, beneath the roots, along the stream — do you think you'd ever notice them? 👇 🌿 THE DAILY BREADCRUMB 🌿 Beneath Notice, Beneath Your Feet They Could Be Right Under Your Nose The Etom dwell in nooks, crannies, and tall grasses — anywhere offering refuge from elements that might demolish their tiny homes. Hairless. Skin like a grubworm: smooth, reflective, resilient as rubber. Fleshy stalks called zalzal crown their heads. Two eyes. Frog-like ears. Males are etém. Females, etma. Diminutive creatures, not much larger than a beetle, walking unseen in spaces lost to memory. Where might you find them? What's a place you know of that most people pass right by — but that feels like its own hidden world once you stop and look? 👇 🌿 THE DAILY BREADCRUMB 🌿 "On the grassy central plains, the Etom village of Endego spread beneath a grove chiefly comprised of weeping willows." A score of trees. Streams threading through. A land marked by a weathered stone in the shape of an anvil. The breeze often stirred the long, green stalks to swell and the mourning fronds to wave, sending forth a hushed lullaby. This is where Nida lives. Where the Etom hide. What hidden world have you stumbled upon that most people walk right past? 👇 🌿 THE DAILY BREADCRUMB 🌿 "Beneath the notice of Man and Beast, in spaces lost to memory, lived the lowly Etom." Three inches tall. Hidden in a village called Endego. Here, one etma named Nida awaited the birth of her first child—her frame small yet bearing the hopeful burden of every mother. This is where the story begins. Free samples — subscribe at the link in bio. #TheKinsmansTree

Miyam had no provisions for Sayah — no food he could stomach, no weapon his talons couldn't replace. What she had, she gave freely: her affection, her friendship, and a kiss on his beak. "Find your courage," she told him. "I see it in you." Astéri's klaxon cut the tender moment short. There was no more time. Nat received his restored machete and Miyam's bundle of provisions. The hedge opened with a gentle sigh. One last wave goodbye — and they were through. Through the narrow gap, Nat and Sayah surveyed the landscape, the relative gloom of the wild underbrush evoking shared, unspoken reservations in the pair. 📖 Link in bio. #TheKinsmansTree #ChristianFantasy #IndieAuthor

Astéri returned with urgency — orders direct from Nasi, the Captain of the Malakím himself. The rescue mission had arrived. There was no more time. Nat's shock gave way to resolve. But it was Sayah who bore the full weight of what was being asked — a flightless runt, stripped of his hunter's appetite, now called to infiltrate enemy territory. He held up a stringy wing and looked at himself. What could he possibly offer? Astéri drew close until the spark hovered just before Sayah's beak — no longer the gentle teacher and companion, but a commander burning silver, crackling with the authority of Heaven's host. "Go. And you may find that the one you rescue is yourself." 📖 Link in bio. #TheKinsmansTree #ChristianFantasy #IndieAuthor

Mother tossed him the Weasel, still warm from the hunt. Sayah leaned over the carcass — and swooned. The sight of blood beading on the fur. The faint, metallic scent. His gorge rose before he could stop it. He didn't vomit. He only almost did. Before dawn, he crept out onto the branches and hurled the untouched carcass past the hedge below. Standing on the swaying branch in the dark, Sayah began to understand. The strange wafer hadn't just satisfied his appetite. It had replaced the lust for blood that once ran in his veins. But if I can't eat the meat Mother brings me — what can I eat? Link in bio: The Æglet's Answer #TheAegletsAnswer #TheKinsmansTree

Neck broken. White feathers still. "Brought you a present, Brother." Gael purred. "Aren't I a good sister?" A silent Sayah nodded, horrified. But he'd already turned away. Gael's gift had been meant to wound. Instead it had only confirmed that a quiet and inexorable change in Sayah had begun — and no cruelty of hers could touch it. He walked to the edge of the nest and peered into the jeweled darkness. 📖 Link in bio. #TheKinsmansTree #TheÆgletsAnswer #SpiritLedStorytelling

They were only meant to observe. They could not intervene—these events were fixed in the immutable past. Nat cried out at the brutality. The Etom fell against the æglet's side. Sayah—well-acquainted with cruelty—found his indifference likewise pierced. He welcomed the comfort of shared warmth in the face of cold cruelty. Then came the reprisal. The Tree uncoiling. The waters springing forth. The Tree once bent and barren—teeming with new life. Astéri returned him to the aerie. In quiet wonder, Sayah peered into the jeweled darkness. He sensed the mute immensity raise a voice. 📖 books2read.com/theaegletsansw… #ChristianFantasy #FantasyReaders
